Volunteer Opportunities in April!

Help create the best camp experience for our girls! Join us for Volunteer Work Days, this April. 

 

April 6th, 2013 – Camp Cardinal

  •   Assist in erecting tents
  •   Clean and disinfect tent and cabin mattresses
  •   Paint picnic tables
  •   Pick up and clear brush, limbs and rocks from mowing areas
  •   Clean and organize kitchen and food storage areas
  •   Patch wood work in walk in cooler
  •   Clean out and organize Tut’s Hut craft building
  •   Clean and stock bathrooms and latrines
  •   Clean windows in Dining Hall
  •   Cleaning and sanitizing refrigerators

You will need to bring appropriate work gloves, safety glasses and dress for weather conditions and the projects you would like to work on. We do not allow the use of Girl Scout Council owned power tools or power equipment by non staff members.  If you bring power tools or equipment to use you must wear appropriate safety gear and operate equipment within accepted safety standards. Water and snacks will be provided. The event will be from 10 am till 5 pm. April 20th, 2013 – Camp Shawano

  •   Painting interior trim and walls of Woodview Lodge
  •   Clean and disinfect tent and cabin mattresses
  •   Paint picnic tables
  •   Pick up and clear brush, limbs and rocks from mowing areas
  •   Clean and organize kitchen and food storage areas in Woodview and Lookout Lodges
  •   Paint latrine at Redbud
  •   Stain front deck of Woodview Lodge
  •   Clean and stock bathrooms and latrines
  •   Clean windows in Woodview Lodge
  •   Cutting back brush and limbs and trimming trees along camp road and in unit areas
  •   Cleaning and sanitizing refrigerators
  •   Cutting and stacking firewood
  •   Painting Sky Ridge shelter
